Over and Over Again…How Many Times Will Republicans Believe the SAME Lie?

Here is a fun timeline to consider:

1/20/17 – Donald Trump is inaugurated as President of the United States.

4/28/17 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

5/5/17 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

9/8/17 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

12/8/17 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

12/22/17 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

1/22/18 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

2/9/18 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

3/23/18 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding. Promises it will NEVER happen again.

September 2018 – Migrant caravan is coming.

9/28/18 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

October/November 2018 – Migrant caravan is now an invasion force. There may be Middle Eastern terrorists hiding amog the asylum seekers.

11/6/18 – Election Day. Blue Wave sweeps America. Democrats retake House of Representatives.

11/7/18 – Migrant caravan suddenly disappears from Fox News and is no longer mentioned in Republican and/or White House talking points.

12/7/18 – President Trump signs a comprehensive spending bill (sent to him by a Republican House and a Republican Senate) with NO wall funding.

1/3/19 – The 115th Congress, with a House of Representatives now controlled by Democrats, convenes.

1/25/19 – After a lengthy government shutdown, Trump signs bipartisan comprehensive spending bill with NO wall funding.

2/15/19 – Trump signs bipartisan comprehensive spending bill with NO wall funding.

2/15/19 – President Trump declares a national emergency because he needs immediate funding for his border wall.

2/28/17 – House of Representatives votes to block President Trump’s national emergency declaration.

And day now…the Senate already has 51 members on record pledging to vote against President Trump’s national emergency declaration. When the vote happens (likely next week), the Democratic rebuke by the House will become a bipartisan rebuke.

Later this year, President Trump will be sent a bipartisan Fiscal Year 2020 omnibus bill / continuing resolution that will contain language inserted by House Democrats that specifically defunds his emergency declaration (which will likely, at that point, STILL be tied-up in court) and which will have little (or, more likely, NO wall funding)?

Guess what will happen then?

HE WILL SIGN IT!
